Distance to this yurt: When the snow is gone from Stargaze Trail (usually late May through late November), you can drive 1.2 miles (one way) with 650 ft of elevation to the summer parking area. You will then park and hike in another 200 yards to the yurt.
When snow is on Stargaze Trail (usually late November through late May) you will park in the Beaver Creek Summit Park N Ski parking area then ski or snowshoe in 1.3 miles (one way) with 650 ft elevation gain to the yurt.

Location: The Idaho City Area Yurt and Trail System is made up of 4 Park N Ski areas ,about 60 miles northeast of Boise, Idaho and are accessed from State Highway 21 between 18 and 25 miles northeast of Idaho City, ID. It is approximately a two-hour drive from Boise, ID.
Description: There are six backcountry yurts available for year-round rental in the Boise National Forest. From the yurts you have access to 52 miles of marked trails of which 26 miles are groomed in the winter months. In the summer.spring and fall months you will enjoy biking and hiking through the tranquility of this backcountry forest playground.
