DescriptionCity of Rocks is a unique geologic area exhibiting granite pinnacles and monoliths in excess of sixty stories tall.It has long been an oddity and wonder, especially for passing emigrants of the California Trail (1843-1869). Today the park offers camping, hiking, backpacking, site-seeing, hunting, equestrian riding, mountain biking, exceptional rock climbing and much more. Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important Information Pack-it-in/Pack-it-out rules apply to campsite 61-64, Juniper and Twin Sisters group site. .Campfires are allowed in designated areas only, gathering wood for campfires is prohibited. Pets must be kept on a leash. Please check with destination park staff for local restrictions. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. Fireworks are prohibited in all parks at all times. (Latitude, Longitude):42.08861, -113.63306 42°5'19"N, 113°37'59"W From Boise and the west take l-84 to exit 216 (Declo); go south on Idaho 77 to Conner Creek Junction, then southwest on the Elba-Almo road to the visitor center in Almo and the park entrance. From Pocatello and Idaho Falls, take l-86 and l-84 to exit 216 and proceed as above. From Salt Lake City take l-84 to exit 245 (Sublett/Malta) then head west toward Malta, Elba, and Almo.
